Bio :
Chief Dennis S. Ham serves as the new City of Sandy Springs, Georgia Fire Department Chief of Operations. He has 30 years of experience in the fire service, spending the last 27 with the Atlanta Fire-Rescue Department. Ham holds a degree in business administration from Trinity University and is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Md. Chief Ham serves on the Board of Directors on the Safety, Health and Survival Section of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and is a Chief Fire Officer, (CFOD) from the Center for Public Safety Excellence and has obtained member status, (MIFireE) of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
