Bio :
Jake Rhoades is the Deputy Chief of Special Operations and Training with the Rogers Fire Department, Rogers, Arkansas. With 19 years of experience in a variety of positions within three departments, he is now responsible for the department’s training and special operations response, including technical rescue, hazardous materials, and aircraft firefighting and rescue.
He began his fire service career in 1992 with the Stillwater Fire Department, Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he rose through the ranks to serve as Training Officer. In 2008, Chief Rhoades accepted the position of Assistant Chief with the Jenks Fire-Rescue of Jenks, Oklahoma.
He holds a Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma Christian University and a Master's Degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership. Jake successfully completed the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD. In 2010, Chief Rhoades was recognized by the Commission of Public Safety Excellence as a Chief Fire Officer designee.
Jake currently serves on the NFPA technical committee for risk management. He currently serves as the Arkansas state advocate for the Everyone Goes Home program and has served as a regional trainer for the Firefighter Near Miss program. |
