Bio :
Tim Merinar is a safety engineer with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation and Prevention Program in Morgantown, WV. He has over 19 years of experience with NIOSH where he has worked on a number of fire fighter safety issues including self-contained breathing apparatus certification, compressed-air cylinder failure investigations, and fire fighter line-of-duty death investigations. He is currently the NIOSH organizational liaison to the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Safety, Health and Survival Section Board of Directors.
