 Ed Nied
Bio :

Ed Nied has been a member of the Tucson Fire Department for 16 years. He is currently assigned to the Training Division. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Service Management from ASU and will graduate in spring of 2008 with a Master’s in Fire Administration from ASU. He is a member of the IAFC SHS Section Board of Directors. Ed also serves on the Arizona Fire Chief’s Safety Section and represents Tucson Fire Department on the Pima Fire Chiefs Committee, where he chairs the Safety Section. Ed is also co-founder and chair of the Southern Arizona Safety Officers, where numerous fire department safety officers meet once per quarter to share ideas, concerns, and training. Ed is the Fire Services Training Director for Pima College and is an adjunct faculty also at ASU. He is married to Pam for 24 years and has two daughters, Ashleigh, 19 and Maryssa, 16. Ed serves the community as President of the Board of Trustees at Desert Christian Schools as well as other organizations.
